Job Positions - Summer
Summer Program Director
 
The summer program directors coordinate the day to day programs at camp, Christ Serve Ranch., and programs off camp. They are responsible for developing schedules, making staff assignments, assigning cabins, and generally leading the summer camp program. Should have a strong camp background and at least 2-3 years experience as a cabin counselor.
 
  
Program Counselors:
 
Program counselors work with children in cabin groups. They generally stay in cabins, tents, or tree houses with youth. They are the key element in leading Bible study, worship, service, recreation, and fellowship experiences for our campers. Program Counselors may work with guests that range in age from 3 and up. They provide support to families during family weeks and weekend events. We are looking for young Christian men and women who are at least high school graduates (usually at least one year post-high school. We like staff with great personalities, leadership skills (Christ Serve Leadership training is a real plus), athletic skills, musical ability including voice, piano, and guitar, and a desire to share the Lord with the people who come to camp.
 
  
Watefront:
 
Our waterfront staff includes Water Safety Instructors and lifeguards. Staff may have multiple duties including working with maintenance, program staff, or kitchen staff. Our waterfront staff should have current certification and some experience. Those who will be having multiple duties may have other requirements for those duties.  
  
Kitchen Staff:
 
You don't have to be a chef, but a love of cooking and people is critical. Our kitchen staff helps prepare up to 500 meals a day. These may include gourmet meals to trail meals. We want people who have great personalities, love to make people happy through their service, and who don't mind working in an intense yet fun environment. We take pride in our meals and the people who serve them. We are looking for at least high school graduates and young men or women who want to be a part of a great team. Hours can be early and long and it can be warm in the kitchen, but if you do a good job, you'll get a standing ovation at the end of the week.  
  
Maintenance Staff:
 
If you don't mind getting your hands dirty, we may have a great job for you. Our maintenance staff does everything from haul garbage to water trees; from mowing grass to building fence; from fixing toilets to running our pontoons; from painting and roofing to sweeping and furniture moving. We'd like you to have completed high school, have some experience around tools and lawn equipment, be a hard worker and be willing to participate with the programs and activities of camp.  
  
Wrangler: 
This year we will have our own herd of horses. We are looking for staff members who have working knowledge of horses, horseback riding, and working with children. We will have at least 6 weeks of our Horseback Outreach Program as well as many weeks and weekends of horseback riding as an activity. The wranglers may also have other program or maintenance responsibilities depending on your talents and abilities. We need someone who is a high school graduate. They need working experience with horses and should have a passion for caring for horses and their equipment.  
  
Crafts and Canteen:  
We'll be expanding and improving our crafts program this year. The right person will be at least a high school graduate and have some experience in arts and crafts. This staff person may also have some additional job duties with the canteen, registration, and program support. If you love arts and crafts and have some ideas about a camp craft program, you'll want to apply for this position.
