Expedition Programs

We are pleased to announce a number of new and exciting programs for college age and older young people and couples. “Young” is relative so if you think you are up to it, come on along for the expedition.

Expedition Servant Weekends: Come on out to the Island for the weekend and we’ll have some work projects for you. We’ll also provide some Bible Study, worship, and a time for fellowship. Each weekend starts with supper and runs through a wonderful brunch on Sunday.

Dates: May 29-31 (clean camp, put in beach, help with horses); June 26-28 (help with Sonshine Camp); July 31-August 2 (help with Quilt Auction).

Rates: $55 per person ($50 discount)

Deposit: $25

Horseback Weekends Come to the Island Friday night for devotions and a good night’s sleep in preparation for a full day of riding on Saturday. You’ll camp out Saturday night then ride some more on Sunday before returning to the Island. Rate: $125

Dates: June 19-21 (Family & Expedition)

Crow Wing River Expedition: We’ll be heading down the Crow Wing River, through several wonderful Minnesota lakes, along some of the most beautiful scenery. It will be a great adventure for 20-30 young people. We’ll be using canoes and kayaks, camping out one night, and enjoying each others company.

Dates: July 17-19

Rates: $105 per person

Expedition BWCA trip: This one isn't for wimps but if you are up to it, you'll have the time of your life exploring some of the most stunning country Minnesota has to offer! We begin the adventure Sunday at Lutheran Island Camp, learning how and what to pack for a trip into the wilderness. Very early Monday we leave for the Boundary Waters Canoe Area to enjoy the remainder of the week in the wilderness. Registration is limited.
