Phone and on-line registrations require payment by an approved credit card.

Deposits are refundable only until 10 days prior to the start of a camp. Cancellations within 10 days of the start of a camp may result in forfeiture of the entire deposit. However, we will work with you to transfer the deposit to another event, if possible. Please note the varying amounts of deposits required for each camp listed in the descriptions.

“Installment Payment Plan”
To help lessen the impact on your family’s budget, you are now able to pay for camp in three (3) installments, beginning with the minimum deposit now, a second payment when you choose prior to the start of the camp for which you are registered, and a final payment of the balance due at check-in on the first day of the camp. If you use a credit card for the installment payments, an extra $5.00 per transaction may be added to cover the processing fee charged to camp by the credit card companies.

“Active Deployment Discount”
Children of parents on Active Deployment with the U.S. military will receive a 50% discount on one session of summer camp per child.

Financial Assistance is available for those who qualify. Please first contact your church secretary, pastor, or congregation’s Camp Ambassador to see if scholarships are offered by your congregation. If your church does not provide such assistance, please contact the camp office to receive an application for the Lutheran Island Camp Thomas Shult Memorial Campership Endowment. We will work with you to make sure your child can come to camp.

“Household Pricing”
We have instituted a “Household Pricing” plan this year for camp and retreat registrations paid by a single household. We will track the amount your family spends to participate in summer camps and weekend retreats throughout 2013; once you reach the $1,100 amount, the next family member who registers for most camp programs during the remainder of 2013 will receive a 50% discount! Payments received from LIC Camperships, congregations, or other organizations do not qualify toward the $1,100. Some additional exclusions apply. Call the camp office if you think you qualify.

“Early-Registration Premium”

We want to help you and others come to camp this summer so we’ve kept the rates at the same level or lower and we’ve provided some ways to lower the rate even more. Former campers you are eligible for a $10 discount for a weekend or day camp event and $25 for a 5 day overnight event if we receive your registration by February 1, 2013. This applies to youth events only.

We also want to ask for your assistance in making 2013 a special year of memories for your friends and family who have never been to camp. We’ve enclosed a special registration blank when we sent out the brochures this year. When that registration blank is used by a new camper we will provide you with $10 off any overnight event other than weekends. There is no limit on the number of friends you can invite.

For Family Weeks, Family Weekend Getaways, Little Lambs, Sheep Camp, the Father/Son Retreat & Mother/Daughter Retreat please use our family registration form.

In the operation of the Summer Camp Food Service Program, no child, as defined by the program regulations, will be discriminated against because of race, sex, color, age, handicap, and/or national origin. Any person who believes that he or she has been discriminated against in any USDA related activity should write immediately to the Secretary of Agriculture, Washington, DC 20250.

If you have questions about any information contained here, please call the camp office at (218) 583-2905. We will be happy to help you register for camp!
