Until February 15th, previous campers who sign up for a regular week-long camp can take $25.00 off of the total registration. Returning Weekend and 4 day camps can take off $10.
Help us reach new children for camp! For every new camper that you have sign up for a regular week-long camp, you can take off $10 from your registration up to $50. The new camper needs to put the referring child's name on their registration. Only one referral per registration please. You get $10 and your friend gets to learn about Heroes in the Word.
Continued for 2008 — “Rounding Up Gifts”
Please consider “Rounding Up" your payment as a gift to Lutheran Island Camp, noting the amount of the tax deductible donation on the Registration Form and adding it to the balance due. All gifts received in this way will help youth come to camp.
Phone and on-line registrations require payment by an approved credit card. An extra $5.00 per transaction may be added to cover the processing fees charged to camp by the credit card companies.
Deposits are refundable only until 10 days prior to the start of a camp. Cancellations within 10 days of the start of a camp may result in forfeiture of the entire deposit. However, we will work with you to transfer the deposit to another event, if possible. Please note the varying amounts of deposits required for each camp listed in the descriptions.
“Installment Payment Plan”
To help lessen the impact on your family’s budget, you are now able to pay for camp in three (3) installments, beginning with the minimum deposit now, a second payment when you choose prior to the start of the camp for which you are registered, and a final payment of the balance due at check-in on the first day of the camp. If you use a credit card for the installment payments, an extra $5.00 per transaction may be added to cover the processing fee charged to camp by the credit card companies.
“Active Deployment Discount”
Children of parents on Active Deployment with the U.S. military will receive a 50% discount on one session of summer camp per child.
Financial Assistance is available for those who qualify. Please first contact your church secretary, pastor, or congregation’s Camp Ambassador to see if scholarships are offered by your congregation. If your church does not provide such assistance, please contact the camp office to receive an application for the Lutheran Island Camp Thomas Shult Memorial Campership Endowment. We will work with you to make sure your child can come to camp.
“Household Pricing”
We have instituted a “Household Pricing” plan this year for camp and retreat registrations paid by a single household. We will track the amount your family spends to participate in summer camps and weekend retreats throughout 2008; once you reach the $1,000 amount, the next family member who registers for most camp programs during the remainder of 2008 will receive a 50% discount! Payments received from LIC Camperships, congregations, or other organizations do not qualify toward the $1,000. Some additional exclusions apply. Call the camp office if you think you qualify.
The "Bring a Friend" T-shirt is for former campers who bring a new, first-time camper for a week-long camp. T-shirts will be given at time of Check-In when both registrations are paid in full. Limit one T-shirt for each former camper who brings a friend. Only children and youth campers are eligible for this premium.
“Early-Registration Premium”
Campers who register (with a paid deposit) by April 1, 2008 will receive a coupon for $5.00 off the purchase of Lutheran Island Camp clothing at our Canteen. Coupons will be mailed with Registration Confirmation packets.

In the operation of the Summer Camp Food Service Program, no child, as defined by the program regulations, will be discriminated against because of race, sex, color, age, handicap, and/or national origin. Any person who believes that he or she has been discriminated against in any USDA related activity should write immediately to the Secretary of Agriculture, Washington, DC 20250.
