Many of the following camps are available for two or more age groups. Whenever possible campers will be housed with children in the following way. Trailblazers – 7-9 and 9-11; Voyageurs 12-14; Teen Trek 14 and older. While some camps offered have the same names, different age groups may have age distinguished activities.   Visit our website for more complete description of activities and schedule. Discovery Camps

6-8 year olds who want the opportunity to learn about summer camp will want to attend our Discovery Camp. Activities include swimming, pontoon ride, hiking, Bible Study, and lots more! Pony rides will be available this year, weather permitting.

Trailblazer Camps (7-11 years of age)

Please note that check-in times for all events begin at 3:00 pm unless noted on the program description.  Check out is after the ice cream social (9:30 am) and closing worship (10:00 am). Be sure that you check out with your counselor.

Trailblazer Fishing Camp

This event is for youth who want to do some fishing, but also want to have the fun of camp. We provide a rod, reel, and some tackle for you to take home. We'll use our boats and pontoon to fish East Battle Lake, one of the premier lakes in the state. There will be shore fishing, trolling, and still fishing.

Trailblazer/Voyageur Night Owl Camp

Some children are just made to be night owls. This will be the camp for them as we shift the schedules by 6 hours and they stay up until 3:00 am. Breakfast will be served at noon. Some new, nighttime activities will provide our night owls with some fun and adventure.

Trailblazer/Voyageur Splash Camp

There is nothing like being at Splash Camp on a hot summer day! We offer campers lots of summer water fun, including plenty of time at the beach, a giant slip-n-slide, kayaking, canoeing, water volleyball and basketball, singing around the campfire and great evening activities. This is also the week of the annual Lutheran Island Camp Water Championships.

Trailblazer/Voyageur Classic Camp

This is the way camp has been for three generations and we've set aside some of the best weeks of the summer for them. It is based on kids having lots of fun doing many different activities. The list of things to do includes: archery, basketball, softball, disc golf, swimming, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, volleyball, and more. Classic Camps include a great Bible Study, sing-a-longs, devotions, cookouts, skit night, canteen, and crafts. Horseback riding will be an option available for campers. The Biggest is a special celebration with big events, big activities, and big treats. Check our website for an expanded list of activities.

Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) Camp Weekends

This adventure is a shorter version of our STEAM week.  Learn about dinosaurs, dissect owl pellets, and create your own rocket while you learn about some of the ways God designed his incredible creation to function.

Boys Survivor Club weekend

Grab some friends and head to the ranch to do the things that boys love to do. We’ll build a fort, make a fire or two, cook hot dogs and s’mores, catch some fish, and have some discussions about what it is to be a young man. Girls Survivor Club weekend

STEAM Camp

Join us for a week of discovering some of the unique design features of God's creation.  We will explore some of the unique life at the Ranch and try our hand at creating some robotic bugs, explore force and motion with rockets and observation tower drops, and see how the geology left by the global flood impacts life on the ranch and at nearby Inspiration Point.  Whether you are shooting off geysers or doing a human density dunk, you are sure to have a great science experience.

Birch Lake Lutheran Camp is a satellite camp located near Elk River, MN. We are limited to 22 participants in two cabins.

Trailblazer/Voyageur Prairie and Woods Camp

Campers will go back to the late 1800’s and share experiences similar to Little House on the Prairie and Little House in the Big Woods. We’ll build a tool or herb box, practice knot tying, whittle a walking stick, horseback ride, travel to a Strawberry Farm to pick delicious strawberries, make yummy homemade ice cream the old fashion way, camp out in a tent one night, and cook a pioneer breakfast including biscuits from scratch  in a Dutch Oven all over a campfire!   Discovering the faith and inspiration of George Washington Carver will challenge the campers to ask God, “What is the plan and purpose of my life?” Plus, traditional Camp fun of swimming, skit night and canteen!   Boys AND Girls love Prairie & Woods Camp @ CSR!!! There is a limit of 24 campers.

Beginner Horse Camp Weekend

This event is for our younger campers who want to be a horseback rider but aren’t yet ready to participate in a weeklong event. Participants will spend time getting to know their horse and learn the basics of horsemanship including grooming, groundwork, respect, and riding. We’ll use some of our smaller and wiser horses. Most of our time will be spent in an arena.

Tenderfoot Horse Camp

This is one of the best experiences that you can have at camp! Learn how to ride, groom, and feed a horse. By the end of the week, you'll be able to saddle your own horse; take it out on a nice trail ride, and perhaps do a few games on horseback. You'll wish the week would never end!
