As Christ Serve Ranch becomes a fundamental part of the programming for Lutheran Island Camp, we thought it would be a wonderful opportunity to have our campers learn more about themselves as God’s creation. “Who am I?” “Why am I here?” “Who is God?” “How do I share my faith?” These are the questions we hope to answer through the programming we will have in 2013. 

Our goal is that campers will have a better understanding of God’s gift of Creation through participation in our programs.

This year many of our campers will have the opportunity to visit Christ Serve Ranch. This beautiful 275 acres is just 3 miles from Lutheran Island Camp. It will be where our horseback riding program, creation programs, leadership programs, and many of our adventure programs will be based from.

The Island will  remain the focal point for what we do for the vast majority of programs and facilities.

Lutheran Island Camp is a beautiful 67 acre Island in the middle of East Battle Lake. Most programs, lodging and meals occur on the Island. The camp has cabins with bathrooms and showers. It also has a Retreat Center with bathrooms and showers.

Christ Serve Ranch is 275 acres located 3 miles from the Island. Horseback, Creation, Leadership, and some other camps utilize Christ Serve Ranch for programming.  Some participants may also stay at CSR in tents or other facilities. Portable toilets are available and participants will have access to showers.

The Tent Village is a new area on the Island. Participants stay in the tents with programming at the Island. Portable toilets are available at the site and participants will have access to showers.

Tipis are also located at the Island and house 12 or more campers. Portable toilets are available at the site and participants will have access to showers.

Rustic Camp means that participants will stay in tents or tipis. Portable toilets are available and participants will have access to showers.
