Lutheran Laymen's League Convention:
This year's annual convention will once again be held at Lutheran Island Camp. It is scheduled for September 13. For more information, contact your local LLL representative or contact camp.Thank You for a wonderful event!
Pastors' Conference:
The annual Minnesota North District Pastors Conference will be held at the Island again this year. Guest presenter is Dr. Reed Lessing. Registration information should be coming from the Planning Committee.
Church Workers' Wives Retreat:
The 2008 Fall Church Workers Wives' Retreat will be held Friday, September 26 through Saturday, September 27. The cost is $53. Mail Registration fee of $6.00 (check payable to Karen Goetz) to Karrie Davis, 20268 St 226, Park Rapids, MN 56470. The remaining $47 will be due at camp.
Fall Clean-up Weekend:
Help us put away the summer equipment, put up firewood, and get the Island ready for our fall and winter guests. Clean-up day is Saturday, October 4. Please call to let us know you are coming. We have some housing available Friday and Saturday nights. No cost, but donations are always welcome.

Reformation Day Dinner:
This year's Reformation Day Dinner is scheduled for Sunday, October 19th beginning at 3:00 pm. Dr. Eugene Bunkowski director of the Oswald School of Outreach located at Concordia University, St. Paul, will be our guest speaker. He will be speaking about Martin Luther, a Hero of the Word. Cost is $15 per person and includes a delicious German style dinner served at 5:00 pm. Call or e-mail to register.
